Back in 2015 I was hiking up the dunes at Pictured Rocks in Michigan's UP.  I
heard a couple of voices just ahead but, when I got to the bend in the path,
there was only one person and they were wandering off from where I heard the
voices.
 
I looked down, and there stood a chipmunk on its hind legs.  I waited a moment
to see if it would impart any of its wisdom on me, but it just stood there so I
moved on.  :D
