Yes, I originally thought we didn't get the freezing rain until
I came out the next morning. No power flickers though and I
have no idea why not but there was ice everywhere but virtually
nothing on my car.. Maybe the sun came out early and it melted
but it was only about 10:30am when I was leaving..

RM> But they were calling for much colder temps and close to
RM> 20cm (8 inches) of snow this afternoon and overnight
RM> tonight so I figured I'd better drive in today if possible.

AA>That snowfall did not happen in my region.

No, I may have gotten 3 or 4 cm of snow but that was all.
For a change the weather in Toronto is a lot worse than it
was up here, and has been for a while..

I met a neighbour lady today for the first time, although she's
lived a bay over from me for almost 30 years. I was clearing the
light snow off and around my car when she walked down the driveway.

Long stort short, we ended up chatting for about 25 minutes, and
my hands even in lined gloves were getting painful since it was
breezy and -12c, but she was passimg (trespassing?) my place on
her way home. She jogs the roads around the block and down our
private road here which she follows out to the bay and then
across the ice back to her place. As I said, it was pretty
cold today and her route is 5 km long. Something she said also
makes me think she is well into her 70's, although she obviously
looks to be in good shape.. Better than me at jogging anyways.
