B) *SPOILERS* for anyone watching Best Medicine! They borrowed some stuff but IIRC most of it turned out much different. Peter Crunk is a character from the original. The confrontation at the school was more amicable than on the original. I am not sure what episode it happened in, but there was also one where he tried to cancel a bayside party because the person that was throwing it (and the meat being served) was infected with something. I suspect that is where the almost cancelled Bean supper might have come from. Baked beans are a New England thing. There was also a parallel between the original... Bert fakes a serious injury to make a jab at the doc for having blood phobia... vs. him having a real one (and not knowing about the phobia). Also thought our first introduction to Mrs. Tishell... erm, Mrs. Milo... was interesting. I like that actress but I wonder if she's had to act with a neck brace before. She seemed to be able to move her neck a lot. I think she has played some eccentric characters in the past. |
