I was going through transmissions and differentials faster than I was tires. You try to buy racing parts that will stand up but some things like those are prohibitively expensive. Cheaper to replace the stock part 4 times.. Ha.. I remember when the guys that replaced my tranny once took the blown one in to see if they could trade it in and save some money on the new one. The guy in the shop noticed a crack around one end of it and he wiggled it a bit and it popped off. He looked inside it and then upended it over a trash can and poured out the insides of it.
