My parents have a massive and beautiful weeping cherry tree in their front
yard that got waterlogged from all the torrential rain we've had and the
thing dropped all of its leaves in August.  From what my mom tells me, those
trees are known to do that.  Around my neighborhood, I haven't seen any
trees start to change color let alone drop leaves yet.

I am not surprised at that, especially at Cracker Barrel.  I've noticed all
of the big home decor stores here, such as Hobby Lobby, At Home, Home Goods,
and the like, are already in full bloom with Christmas stuff.  They have
other seasonal goods for Halloween and Thanksgiving, but their main focus is
on Christmas stuff.

I guess my issue is just the over-commercialization of Christmas and the
major holidays in general.
