That sounds like an utter waste of time to me.

Either strive for what you truly want or skip the whole deal and devote your
resources to something else. Getting a fuckbuddy when you want something serious
seems to me like getting a goldfish when you want a dog. Eventually you will
feel misserable because you are eventually not getting what you want and you are
just pretending with temporary measures.

I have found personal growth has a big component of removing temporary stopgaps
from your life.
