Connemara Detailed Forecast for Wed 08 Apr 2026

A mostly cloudy to cloudy day across Connemara with the driest conditions in the
morning and early afternoon. Patchy light rain or drizzle will develop from late
afternoon, becoming more widespread during the evening and overnight.
Temperatures will range from lows of 6-8?C overnight to highs of 13-16?C during
the afternoon, warmest in coastal areas. Winds will be light to moderate from
the southwest in the morning, becoming breezy to strong later, reaching 17-23
kph and gusting 29-37 kph by afternoon, strongest in western and coastal areas.

Fog and mist will affect parts of Connemara during the early hours, particularly
inland valleys and low-lying areas, lifting by mid-morning. Cloud will remain
extensive throughout the day with only brief brighter spells possible, mainly
during the afternoon. By evening, dense overcast conditions will spread across
all areas as light rain or drizzle becomes more persistent, particularly in
western districts. Overnight, rain will become more established with moderate
falls possible in places, accompanied by strengthening southwesterly winds.

00-06: Mostly cloudy to cloudy with patchy light fog in places, especially
inland. Any early drizzle clearing. Temperatures 6-9?C. Light winds becoming
light to moderate southwesterly.
07-12: Cloudy with some brighter spells developing. Dry for most areas with fog
clearing. Temperatures rising to 10-14?C. Moderate southwest winds increasing,
gusts 25-35 kph.
13-18: Mostly cloudy to cloudy. Dry initially, then light rain or drizzle
developing from late afternoon. Temperatures reaching 13-16?C. Fresh southwest
winds gusting 29-37 kph.
19-00: Dense overcast with light rain becoming more persistent, turning moderate
in places overnight. Temperatures 10-12?C. Breezy southwest winds 18-22 kph,
gusting 35-45 kph.

Cleggan: Cloudy with patchy light fog early morning clearing. Dry until evening
when light rain develops. High 15?C. Southwest winds fresh, gusting 36 kph.
Clifden: Mostly cloudy with drizzle early morning. Dry during the day then light
rain from evening. High 13?C. Southwest winds increasing to 20 kph, gusting 34
kph.
Glinsce: Mostly cloudy with patchy fog early. Dry until evening when light rain
arrives. High 16?C. Southwest winds fresh 17 kph, gusting 35 kph.
Kylemore: Mostly cloudy to cloudy throughout. Drizzle possible early, dry
midday, then light rain from evening. High 15?C. Southwest winds increasing to
20 kph, gusting 36 kph.
Leenane: Partly to mostly cloudy becoming cloudy. Dry until evening when rain
develops. High 15?C. Southwest winds 17 kph, gusting 35 kph.
Letterfrack: Mostly cloudy with patchy fog early. Dry until evening then light
rain. High 16?C. Southwest winds fresh 17 kph, gusting 35 kph.
Oughterard: Mostly cloudy to cloudy throughout. Dry for most of the day, light
rain developing evening. High 13?C. Southwest winds 20 kph, gusting 37 kph.
Renvyle: Partly to mostly cloudy with patchy fog early morning. Dry until
evening light rain. High 16?C. Southwest winds 17 kph, gusting 35 kph.
