Connemara Detailed Forecast for Sat 11 Apr 2026

A wet and windy day across Connemara with persistent rain, heaviest during the
morning and early afternoon. Cloudy throughout with patchy light fog in places,
particularly in the morning. Moderate to fresh south to southwest winds will be
strong to near gale force at times, especially in exposed coastal areas.
Temperatures struggling to reach 7 to 9 degrees, feeling much colder in the wind
with a wind chill near freezing in the morning. Rain will gradually ease to
showers during the evening, though remaining cloudy overnight with winds slowly
moderating.

Overall rainfall totals of 10 to 15 mm are expected, with the highest amounts in
western and coastal districts. Visibility will be poor at times in rain and fog.
Conditions will remain unsettled into Saturday night with further showers and
strong winds continuing, though precipitation becoming more intermittent after
dark.

00-06: Dense overcast with moderate to heavy rain developing. Patchy light fog.
Temperatures 4-7?C. Fresh to strong southwest winds.
07-12: Cloudy with persistent rain, heavy at times. Patchy fog clearing.
Temperatures rising slowly to 6-8?C. Strong to gale force southwest winds.
13-18: Overcast with continued rain gradually easing to showers. Temperatures
reaching 7-9?C. Strong southwest winds slowly moderating.
19-00: Mostly cloudy to overcast with scattered showers. Temperatures falling to
6-7?C. Moderate to fresh southwest to west winds.

Cleggan: Dense overcast with moderate to heavy rain throughout the day, easing
to showers by evening. Strong to gale force southwest winds. High 8?C.
Clifden: Dense overcast with light to moderate rain most of the day, becoming
showery later. Very windy with strong southwest winds gusting 44-46 kph. High
7?C.
Glinsce: Dense overcast with moderate rain, heaviest morning and early
afternoon. Very windy with strong to gale force southwest winds gusting to 45
kph. High 8?C.
Kylemore: Mostly cloudy to cloudy with light to moderate rain becoming showery.
Very windy with strong to gale force southwest winds gusting 54-58 kph. High
7-9?C.
Leenane: Dense overcast with light to moderate rain, heavy at times, easing to
showers evening. Strong to gale force southwest winds gusting to 45 kph. High
8?C.
Letterfrack: Dense overcast with moderate rain throughout, easing to showers by
evening. Patchy light fog morning. Strong southwest winds. High 8?C.
Oughterard: Mostly cloudy to cloudy with rain likely, moderate at times,
becoming showery later. Windy with strong southwest winds gusting to 54 kph.

Renvyle: Dense overcast with light to moderate rain most of the day, becoming
showery evening. Strong to gale force southwest winds gusting to 46 kph. High
