Connemara Detailed Forecast for Tue 14 Apr 2026

A damp and overcast day across Connemara with persistent rain and drizzle,
heaviest in eastern areas. Coastal districts will see light rain and drizzle
becoming more intermittent through the afternoon, while inland areas experience
periods of moderate to heavy rain, particularly during the evening. Patchy fog
will develop through the night, mainly in low-lying areas. Temperatures
struggling, reaching only 12-13?C in most areas but remaining around 9-11?C
along exposed western coasts. Light to moderate easterly winds initially,
becoming southeast and freshening through the day, strongest in inland valleys.

Cloud will remain dense and overcast throughout the day with very little
variation. Rain will be persistent but generally light to moderate, though some
heavier bursts are possible in eastern and central areas during the evening. Fog
patches will develop after dark, most extensive in sheltered valleys.
Temperatures will rise slowly through the morning then hold steady through the
afternoon before falling slightly overnight. Winds will strengthen gradually
from morning onwards, with gusts reaching 25-35 kph by evening in most areas.

00-06: Dense overcast with drizzle and light rain, occasional moderate rain
inland. Patchy fog developing. Temperatures 7-10?C. Light easterly winds
freshening to moderate.
07-12: Dense overcast with persistent light rain, drizzle in coastal areas. Fog
clearing slowly. Temperatures rising to 9-12?C. Moderate southeast winds.
13-18: Dense overcast continuing with intermittent rain and drizzle. Occasional
moderate rain bursts inland. Temperatures 11-13?C. Moderate to fresh southeast
winds.
19-00: Dense overcast with rain becoming more persistent, turning moderate to
heavy in places. Fog patches reforming. Temperatures 10-11?C. Fresh southeast
winds.

Cleggan: Dense overcast with light rain and drizzle, some heavier bursts
evening. Patchy fog developing overnight. High 13?C. Southeast winds 18-24 kph
gusting 33 kph.
Clifden: Dense overcast with persistent light rain and drizzle, heavier periods
evening. Patchy fog overnight. High 13?C. Southeast winds 14-16 kph gusting 25
kph.
Glinsce: Dense overcast with light to moderate rain, heaviest evening. Patchy
light fog overnight. High 13?C. Southeast winds 12-14 kph gusting 25 kph.
Kylemore: Dense overcast with rain likely, some moderate to heavy bursts
evening. Patchy light fog developing. High 13?C. Southeast winds 15-20 kph
gusting 33 kph.
Leenane: Dense overcast with light rain morning, chance of rain afternoon.
Drizzle evening. High 12?C. East winds 10-12 kph gusting 24 kph.
Letterfrack: Dense overcast with patchy light fog morning clearing. Light rain
and drizzle, heavier evening. High 12?C. East-northeast winds 10-11 kph.
Oughterard: Dense overcast with rain likely throughout. Some heavier bursts
possible. Patchy light fog. High 12?C. Southeast winds 14 kph gusting 26 kph.
Renvyle: Dense overcast with chance of rain, some heavier periods afternoon.
Patchy light fog. High 13?C. East-northeast winds 11 kph.
