Connemara Detailed Forecast for Tue 21 Apr 2026

A predominantly cloudy day with mostly cloudy to cloudy skies persisting across
all of Connemara. Outbreaks of drizzle or light rain are likely at times,
particularly during the early morning and late afternoon. Fog patches may
develop in sheltered inland areas during the early hours. Temperatures will
range from 6-8?C overnight to 11-14?C by afternoon, coolest along the coast and
mildest in sheltered inland valleys. Winds will strengthen through the day,
becoming fresh to strong and gusty from the east-northeast, with the strongest
winds affecting western coastal areas.

Eastern parts of Connemara including Oughterard will see slightly better
conditions with occasional brighter spells possible, while western coastal areas
from Clifden to Cleggan remain predominantly overcast. The persistent cloud and
easterly winds will keep temperatures suppressed, with a notable wind chill
especially during the afternoon when winds gust to 40-47 kph. Visibility will be
reduced at times in drizzle and fog patches, particularly across higher ground
and coastal areas during the night and early morning.

inland, temperatures falling to 6-8?C, light to moderate easterly winds
