In the upper levels, a deep trough remains over the East Coast as a 
ridge stays centered over the Rocky Mountains. Temperatures will be 
cooler this morning with lows in the 60s for most of the Tennessee 
Valley and in the 50s in Northeast Tennessee, Southwest Virginia and 
the higher elevations. Some patchy fog will be possible mainly near 
bodies of water. Today and tomorrow will be dry with low humidity as 
high pressure remains over the Ohio Valley. Highs will be in the 80s 
for most of the Tennessee Valley, sorry Chattanooga (90-92). Dew 
points will be pleasant in the 50s at times. 

Rain chances start to increase on Wednesday as a shortwave moves 
into the Great Lakes Region. At the surface, a stationary boundary 
will likely be over the Southeast U.S., bringing a chance for 
showers and storms Wednesday evening and into the overnight hours. 
Thursday afternoon will have the highest rain chances as a shortwave 
moves through the Ohio Valley.

Friday through the weekend looks mostly dry as the trough weakens. 
Some afternoon showers and storms will be possible mainly near the 
mountains and foothills.

Patchy fog again possible early this morning, but lower confidence
of occurrence this morning on account of the drier airmass in 
place. Fog should be fairly isolated around fog-prone locations.
Post sunrise clearing any fog out, the remainder of the day is dry
with VFR conditions and light winds under high pressure.
