A front near the OH River tonight will push southward and cross our 
area during the day. It will have little impact on our sensible 
weather, as warm temperatures will persist behind it for the next 
few days due to a large mid/upper ridge across the region. Dewpoints 
may be a little lower behind the front, in the mid 60s to lower 70s, 
which may help keep the Heat Index below Advisory values. Southern 
and central Valley locations are expected to see Heat Index values 
of 100 to 105 today and Tuesday. 

Rain chances will be low through the week, and mainly focused along 
the higher terrain of the mountains and SW VA. The upper ridge may 
show signs of weakening around the weekend, which could allow for 
some better rain chances early next week.

The main aviation impact overnight will be TRI with MVFR currently
forecast over the next couple of hours. It is somewhat uncertain
if this will be more from ceilings or from fog, but the reductions
are expected nonetheless. For CHA and TYS, VFR is expected to
continue. TRI will recover early in the morning with VFR and
northeasterly winds across all 3 sites. Some clouds at or above
5,000 feet are expected but limited ceilings.
