A GIANT RING-SHAPED SUNSPOT: Yesterday it was barely there; today it's the
biggest sunspot group on the Earthside of the sun -- a fast-growing ring 100,000
km wide. This emerging active region has an unusually twisted magnetic field
that could produce Earth-directed solar flares this week.
