- Isolated to scattered light rain showers again today. No 
  significant weather expected.

- Cooler and drier conditions are expected through the weekend
  before a warming trend early next week.

Currently a few lingering showers across parts of the plateau and 
the southern Appalachian Mountains early this afternoon. We should 
continue to see these slowly work their way through the region as 
the trough also swings through overhead... No major impacts are 
expected from these showers and few thunderstorms. 

More notable is that it's turned much cooler today and even with the 
sun trying to come out it's going to feel like fall with 
temperatures much lower than the previous weeks. This fall like 
weather will continue through the weekend with mostly clear skies 
and lower dew points. Rain chances don't look to return until at 
least the middle of the week next week. A low and front look to try 
and move through the US, but models disagree with the timing and the 
strength. But that's a problem for next week, in the meantime enjoy 
the weather for the next several days.

Lingering low level clouds will eventually try and burn off, but
could cause brief fluctuations into the MVFR category at the
airports. Based on rain overnight have opted into fog in the TAFs,
and confidence should increase when we see how much clearing
occurs today.
