Pleasant fall-like temperatures have been a welcome change to the 
heat of the previous weeks. For the next few days, we will maintain 
a northerly flow through the column due to the strong low pressure 
system off the Mid-Atlantic/New England coastline and a ridge over 
the Great Plains. Highs in the 70s and lows in the 40s to lower/mid 
50s will continue through the weekend. The pattern will favor dry 
weather as well, with abundant sunshine for most of the area. Some 
high cloud on the fringes of the Nor'easter could reach our northern 
sections by Monday, with no real impact. 

As the ridge to our west shifts east and flattens out, a 
developing southerly flow will bring warmer temperatures next week, 
with highs in the 80s for most of the TN Valley by Tuesday. These 
above normal temperatures will continue for most of next week. Late 
in the week, we may see some rain chances returning as a shortwave 
trough may move into the Plains and MS Valley region.

No aviation impacts are expected this period. Cloud bases at CHA
are hovering around 3 kft but are expected to trend upward in the
next hour or two. Cannot rule out some fog at TRI tonight
