Connemara Detailed Forecast for Fri 13 Mar 2026

Tomorrow, Connemara will experience a generally cold and windy day with frequent
cloud cover and widespread precipitation. Early morning conditions will be
dominated by dense overcast skies with a mix of rain and snow in some areas,
especially over higher terrain, with occasional heavy rain events reported
across the region. Temperatures will remain low for the season, mostly ranging
between 2?C and 8?C depending on location. Winds will be strong from the west to
southwest, gusting significantly in exposed coastal and upland areas. As the day
progresses, rain will be very likely through the morning and into the afternoon,
with a chance of scattered showers later, but snow is mostly limited to early
hours and some persistent heavy rain in spots. Visibility may be reduced at
times due to patchy fog, especially in the morning and late evening.

Nighttime will see skies remain mostly cloudy to dense overcast into early
hours, with rain diminishing to a chance of showers or drizzle after midnight.
Winds will ease but remain breezy, mainly from the west to northwest.
Temperatures will drop to lows near 3 to 6?C across most areas, with a gradual
mild increase toward dawn in some locations.

00-06: Dense overcast to cloudy skies with rain and some snow mixing in places
early; heavy rain and snow showers likely at times. Temperatures steady or
slowly falling near 2?C to 5?C. Strong west to southwest winds, gusting up to 60
kph, easing slightly overnight.

07-12: Dense overcast with very likely rain or mixed rain and snow early.
Conditions windy and cold with wind chill near or below zero in many areas. Wind
speeds decreasing gradually from around 40-50 kph to 25-30 kph by late morning.
Fog patchy but present.

13-18: Cloudy skies continuing with rain likely in the afternoon, though some
spots may see reduced precipitation or breaks. Temperatures rising modestly to
highs between 5?C and 8?C. Winds moderate and gradually shifting west-northwest
to southwest around 20-30 kph, gusting higher.

19-00: Mostly cloudy to dense overcast with a chance of scattered showers or
drizzle. Temperatures falling to lows of 4?C to 6?C. Winds light to moderate
from the west to northwest, 10-20 kph, becoming steadier late evening. Patchy
fog possible.

Clifden: Dense overcast with rain likely, very windy and cold. High 7?C. Winds
west 40 kph gusting 65 kph morning, easing to 26 kph gusting 41 kph afternoon.
Rain very likely. Evening partly cloudy, rain chance late night. Low 4?C.

Cleggan: Dense overcast with rain likely, very windy and cold. High 7?C. Winds
west 40 kph gusting 65 kph morning, 26 kph gusting 42 kph afternoon. Rain very
likely. Evening mostly cloudy, rain chance late night. Low 3?C.

Glinsce: Cloudy with rain likely periods and patchy fog. Very windy and cold.
High 5?C. West winds 25-45 kph gusting higher. Rain and mixed snow very likely
in morning then rain likely afternoon. Low 4?C night.

Kylemore: Dense overcast with rain and snow likely, very windy and cold. High
3?C. West 38 kph gusting to 66 kph morning, 22 kph gusting 35 kph afternoon.
Snow accumulation 2-4 cm. Rain likely night. Low 2?C.

Leenane: Cloudy with rain likely and windy. Low 4?C, high 8?C. West winds 26-36
kph gusting to 46 kph. Rain very likely morning, chance showers afternoon.
Patchy fog. Low 5?C night.

Letterfrack: Cloudy with rain and snow mixing likely, windy and cold. High 5?C.
West winds 25-37 kph gusting higher. Rain and snow very likely morning and
afternoon. Light fog patchy. Low 4?C night.

Oughterard: Dense overcast with rain and snow mixing likely. Very windy and
cold. High 2?C. West-southwest wind 35-49 kph
