Connemara Detailed Forecast for Sun 22 Mar 2026 Dense overcast skies will dominate the morning hours across Connemara with patches of drizzle and light rain, particularly along western coasts and higher ground. Temperatures will start around 7-9?C in most areas, rising to 11-14?C by afternoon as skies gradually break to mostly cloudy or partly cloudy conditions. Winds will be fresh to strong from the west-southwest initially, veering north-northwest through the day and reaching 15-21 kph with gusts to 32-35 kph, strongest along exposed western coasts. Visibility will be reduced by fog patches early morning, especially in sheltered inland valleys. The morning drizzle will taper off by late morning, though western and northwestern areas may see occasional light showers continuing into early afternoon. Humidity will be high initially (85-95%) but will drop to 63-70% by late afternoon as drier air moves in. Coastal areas from Cleggan to Renvyle will experience the strongest winds and most persistent cloud, while inland areas around Oughterard and Maam Cross may see brighter spells developing earlier. By evening, mostly cloudy to partly cloudy skies will prevail with winds easing slightly and temperatures falling back to 8-11?C. 00-06: Dense overcast with drizzle and light rain, patchy fog in valleys, temperatures steady 7-9?C, winds west-southwest 11-14 kph becoming northwest. 07-12: Dense overcast becoming cloudy, drizzle ending mid-morning, temperatures rising 9-12?C, winds northwest increasing 12-17 kph gusting 27-32 kph. 13-18: Mostly cloudy to partly cloudy, isolated light showers possible west, temperatures steady 11-14?C then falling, winds north-northwest 15-19 kph gusting 30-35 kph. 19-00: Mostly cloudy, dry conditions, temperatures falling 10-8?C, winds north-northwest easing 8-15 kph. Cleggan: Dense overcast morning with drizzle, becoming cloudy afternoon, high 12?C, strong northwest winds 21 kph gusting 35 kph, mostly cloudy evening. Clifden: Dense overcast morning with drizzle, becoming mostly cloudy afternoon, high 13?C, northwest winds 15 kph gusting 31 kph, mostly cloudy evening.
