Connemara Detailed Forecast for Thu 26 Mar 2026

A wet and cloudy day across Connemara with periods of rain, most persistent
during the afternoon and evening. Light drizzle will affect western coastal
areas through the morning, spreading inland as heavier rain by midday. Dense
overcast conditions will prevail across most areas, with patchy light fog
developing in valleys and inland areas by evening. Temperatures will reach
8-10?C inland and along sheltered coasts, slightly cooler on exposed western
peninsulas around 6-7?C. Winds moderate south-southwest 15-21 kph gusting 28-34
kph, freshening through the afternoon.

Cloud will remain extensive throughout the day with little brightness. Rain will
be intermittent, heaviest during the afternoon hours particularly across
northern and western districts where 10-15mm is likely. Eastern areas may see
slightly lower totals around 5-10mm. The evening will turn very wet with
moderate rain at times before easing overnight. Visibility will be poor in rain
and mist, with fog patches forming in sheltered valleys after dark. Winds will
ease somewhat overnight but remain mostly moderate from the southwest.

00-06: Cloudy with drizzle developing, patchy light fog possible, temperatures
5-6?C, light to moderate northwest winds easing
07-12: Dense overcast with drizzle turning to light rain, temperatures rising to
6-8?C, winds increasing southwest 15-20 kph
13-18: Cloudy with periods of rain becoming heavier, temperatures peaking
8-10?C, moderate southwest winds 18-21 kph gusting 30-34 kph
19-00: Dense overcast with rain likely, patchy light fog developing,
temperatures 7-9?C, winds moderate southwest 18-20 kph easing slightly

Cleggan: Cloudy, drizzle morning then light rain afternoon, windy, high 10,
moderate southwest winds 20-27 kph gusting to 38 kph
Clifden: Dense overcast, drizzle to light rain, fog patches evening, high 11,
breezy southwest 12-20 kph gusting to 37 kph
Glinsce: Dense overcast, light rain likely afternoon, fog patches evening, high
10, southwest 12-21 kph gusting to 32 kph
Kylemore: Dense overcast, drizzle to light rain afternoon, patchy fog evening,
high 10, southwest 15-21 kph gusting to 32 kph
