Connemara Detailed Forecast for Wed 01 Apr 2026

A cloudy and wet start to Wednesday with outbreaks of light rain clearing
northwards during the morning. Skies will brighten from the south with some
sunny spells developing by afternoon, though scattered showers may linger along
the coast. Temperatures reaching 10 to 13 degrees Celsius, feeling cooler in
exposed areas. Fresh to strong southwesterly winds veering northwest through the
day, with gusts of 35 to 55 kph, strongest along the coast. The evening turning
drier with partly cloudy skies and temperatures falling to 5 to 9 degrees
overnight.

Visibility generally good but may be locally reduced in any heavier rain during
the morning. Western coastal areas particularly exposed to the brisk winds with
wave heights elevated along Atlantic-facing shores. Inland areas experiencing
lighter winds and less rain overall. Higher ground may see persistent low cloud
and hill fog through much of the day. Conditions improving markedly through the
afternoon as the rain clears and winds ease slightly.

00-06: Cloudy with patchy light rain and drizzle, temperatures steady 9-11?C,
moderate to fresh southwesterly winds 18-30 kph.
07-12: Cloudy morning with light rain clearing to brighter spells by midday,
temperatures rising to 10-13?C, winds veering northwest and strengthening to
20-38 kph.
13-18: Mostly cloudy to partly cloudy, isolated light showers coastal areas,
temperatures holding 10-13?C then falling, northwest winds 15-30 kph.
19-00: Partly cloudy becoming mostly clear, dry with occasional clear spells,
temperatures falling to 5-9?C, winds easing to 7-20 kph becoming variable.

Cleggan: Cloudy with rain clearing to partly cloudy by afternoon, high 11?C low
6?C, fresh westerly winds 28-43 kph veering northwest.
Clifden: Cloudy morning with light rain, becoming partly cloudy afternoon with
isolated showers, high 11?C low 7?C, fresh westerly winds 28-43 kph.
Glinsce: Mostly cloudy with morning rain clearing, some afternoon brightness,
high 11?C low 7?C, moderate southwest winds 20-32 kph veering northwest.
Kylemore: Cloudy with light rain morning, becoming mostly cloudy to partly
cloudy afternoon, high 11?C low 6?C, fresh southwest winds 23-38 kph.
Leenane: Cloudy with rain clearing to mostly cloudy, some afternoon brightness,
